Wow. Time gets away from me! I’ve got a lot I’m juggling, but that is the life of an author. I just submitted the first two chapters of The Blade of Ages for a craft day workshop in February taught by Eric Flint at the Superstars Writing Seminar.

As an author, I need to be ever-growing. Tomorrow, I Start Dave Farland’s Advanced Puzzle Class online.

I also need to start putting out short stories – at least one per quarter, but I want to put out one a month. The one I’m working on now is about a man who can find people who slipped through the fabric of time and space to a medieval realm swallowed in darkness.

Learning I’ve done recently? I love listening to audible, or voice over on Kindle, on my drive to and from my job. Some of my takeaways: the hard thing can be the best type of self-care. One small success is a building block to believing I can be successful at the bigger things. All authors have imposter syndrome. Some beliefs can be dug out and replaced with a new seed. To find your purpose, leverage your past, know your power, and identify the problems your heart is passionate about solving. You must let go of who you were to become who you are meant to be.

Self observations? I love writing. I love fantasy. And my kids are fantastic editors.
