Distractions
The past month have been full of them. I even accused myself of planning to fail because I failed to plan. That can happen, but sometimes planning to fail is a wake up call from the distractions of life. Sometimes we get back on track. Sometimes we celebrate it because we meet new friends and get the chance at a fresh start. That’s what this week is going to be.
I was distracted by the beasts of Dungeons and Dragons–both the metaphorical type (against which I felt I was losing), and the gaming type (which I was enjoying.) The kids had me doing tons of things, and the dog has been to the vet three times in the last two weeks. I was circling on where to focus next. I became the epitome of analysis paralysis. Then I spoke truth to my life coach, and she reminded me what writing does for me as a human being. So, I am getting going again. I am meeting some amazing people and becoming more grateful for those in my life. Today, as a way to celebrate those people, I am getting my newsletter out, and getting a short story drafted.
